Whoo-hoo! Our first comp of the season! I spent all day today trying to find a brisket for Brian. Two stores didn't have them, one store did, but it weighed 20lbs. (How is lbs. short for pounds? there is no l or b in the word!) Finally the fourth place I tried had a 12.6 pounder. Brian wanted one that was between 12 and 14 lbs., so that worked. I'm set! Brian... well, he's nervous.

in the theatre you say "break a leg" to wish good luck. what do you say for a bbq competition? hmmmm...burn a brisket? ok, let's try that one out for this one. :)
